Different models of Mazda Bongo and Ford Fredas
Bongo Friendee / Ford Freda model variations:
- SGL5 is the most numerous Bongo. 2.5L Turbo Diesel, 130PS engine and four-wheel drive (4WD). Manufactured from 1995 onwards.
- SGL3 is the second most numerous Bongo. 2.5L Turbo Diesel, 130PS engine. The difference is that it’s a rear-wheel drive (2WD). Manufactured from 1995 onwards.
- A rare 5-speed manual Bongo and Freda campers manufactured in 1997.
- E-SG5W Mazda Bongo models have 2.5L V6 Petrol, 151PS engine and a rear-wheel drive (2WD)
- E-SGE3 Mazda Bongo models have 2.0L Petrol, 102PS engine and a 2WD rear-wheel drive. This model is the most fuel efficient.
